To ensure precision and durability, the raw white clay is fired at an extremely high temperature of 2900 degrees Fahrenheit as the surface of the sink fuses with the interior. The end result is a powerful finish resistant to chips, cracks, and other abrasions. For Farmhouse Sinks the recommended base cabinet size is 3" more than the width of the sink.
