Oops! JHS made an uh-oh, but this mistake is anything but. The Fumble JFET boost effect pedal delivers a tone accidently introduced in their NOTADÜMBLË V1 pedal, now in a standalone enclosure that provides the long-cloned history of a Dumble BBC-1 circuit that was actually sourced from a 1970s Barcus Berry piezo acoustic preamp. The history is messy, the reasoning is complicated, but the sound is superb.

This two knob clean boost, inspired by a clone of a clone of a clone of a etc., performs JFET boosting with a unique control scheme that shapes your sound like no other in its class. The output control works as such—crank it up or turn it down to the desired output volume. The input control, however, behaves differently than expected. When the knob is fully to the right, it can be considered as a bypass for clean JFET boosting. When the knob is turned to the left, bass frequencies and gain start attenuating simultaneously, resulting in a slightly thinner, but overall tighter response. No other boost delivers this sort of shaping, and can be assigned the "secret weapon" label when applied properly.

Here's what you do: use it as a permanent tone shaper and boost at the front of your board. Set it however you want and never turn it off. Alternatively, the Fumble can be the overdrive lift you've been searching ages for. Rather than muddying with another pre-drive drive (what a headache), the Fumble adds more level and color to your favorite characteristic dirt. Push a driven amp, boost your board at the end of the chain, or, if you're feeling adventurous, try it as originally intended in the 1970s with an acoustic guitar. Let us know what you think about that one.

With analog circuitry, true bypass switching, and standard nine-volt center negative power requirements, the Fumble JFET boost proves that some wrongs can, in fact, be made right.

  • JFET boost inspired by Dumble's "repurposed" 1970s acoustic preamp
  • Input bass and gain attenuator control
  • Output master volume control
  • Analog design with true bypass switching
  • Standard nine-volt DC center negative power requirements

Runs really wide
Size: 11, Color: Dark Chestnut
Very nicely made but runs really wide. The adjustable strap help but the front strap is wide and can’t be adjusted.

Lovely sandals!
I highly recommend! These are so comfortable! Right out of the box, they can be worn all day. The velcro-adjustable straps are great for making for a perfect fit. The aren't clunky to wear, even though they appear to be. They're super cute, in my opinion. The sock liner is textile, so feet feel good all day, not slimy, like leather and suede can sometimes make feet feel if socks aren't worn.

Cute and Comfortable
Size: 10, Color: Black
This is my second pair. I bought the sand color at my local Macy's. I got their last pair. I have issues with back pain and ankle swelling and pain. These are so comfortable I had to get them in Black. The adjustable straps are great. My feet are a little bit wider because of the swelling issues. So if you have very narrow feet these might be a little big. You might want to go down a half a size. But otherwise I wear a size 10 and they fit perfectly. I don't think the picture does the color justice. The black almost looks like velvet, it's very deep and rich. I wore them out today for the first time and got lots of compliments. The footbed is very comfortable with the memory foam. Lots of support. I noticed my back and ankle pain is much better wearing these. I've never owned UGG before. If these hold up really well and continue to stay comfortable, I will be purchasing other styles for fall and winter.
