Does my dog have to wear an ID tag?

Here’s a bit of background knowledge if you own a dog in the UK…

Dogs needs to wear a tag even if they are microchipped (apart from a few exceptions). To comply with the Control of Dogs Order 1992, every dog while in a public place must wear a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached to it. As a minimum, you should show your: surname, house number, postcode and telephone number. This amount of information will fit on our tags perfectly.
