Op zoek naar witte wijn met frisheid, sap en karakter in één glas. Kellermeister Privat Gemischter Satz uit Niederösterreich is precies zo’n blend die meteen dorst opwekt, met rijpe appel, kruidigheid en een verfrissende finale.

Wijngaarden en regio

De druiven komen uit het wijngebied Niederösterreich, waar löss en leem de boventoon voeren. Löss is fijn, kalkrijk sediment dat water goed vasthoudt en voor rijpe, ronde aroma’s zorgt, terwijl leem extra structuur geeft. Het koele klimaat met veel zon overdag en frisse nachten houdt de zuren levendig en geeft de wijn zijn heldere, sappige stijl.

Vinificatie en rijping

De stijl is bewust zuiver en fruitgedreven. Koele fermentatie bewaart de bloemige en citrusachtige geuren, daarna blijft de wijn strak en precies zodat het frisse karakter centraal staat. Waarom heet dit Gemischter Satz. In Oostenrijk worden de verschillende rassen samen in één wijngaard aangeplant en vaak gelijktijdig geoogst. Door die gezamenlijke herkomst en oogst krijg je natuurlijke balans in geur, smaak en structuur.

Druivensamenstelling

Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling en Roter Veltliner. Grüner Veltliner geeft die herkenbare Veltliner-kruidigheid en sappige peer, Sauvignon Blanc zorgt voor citrus en frisheid, Riesling voegt precisie en spanning toe, Roter Veltliner rondt af met rijp wit fruit en een vriendelijke textuur.

Proefnotities en serveertips

Bleek strogeel in het glas. In de neus gele appel, citrus en een subtiele kruidige toets. De smaak is speels en sappig met appel en peer, rijpe perzik en fijne Veltliner-würze. De zuren zijn levendig en de afdronk is verfrissend en zuiver. Alcohol is 13 procent, zuren 5,7 gram per liter en restsuiker 3,2 gram per liter, precies die mix die de wijn zo doordrinkbaar maakt. Serveer op 10 tot 12 graden bij voorgerechten, lichte pastagerechten en wit vlees. Het grootste drinkplezier heb je binnen 3 jaar na de oogst.

Broke the first day
I purchased the owl ball because of other dog chew toys I purchased from Amazon. Those other chew toys are still holding together. The main reason I got the owl ball is due to the different noises it makes other than the regular squeak noise. After giving the toy to my dog he loved it right away. He especially liked the noise it made. After a few hours, I noticed he was chewing a white tube-like device. I took this away from him and determined it was the noise maker in the owl ball. I examined the owl ball and noticed the glue used to keep the ball cap shut did not hold. On closer inspection, I noticed what looked like rubber cement was used to hold the cap on but if it was rubber cement it was used improperly. Anyway, I just reglued the cap correctly and now it's just a ball because my dog destroyed the noise maker. OK, Since I posted this review I was contacted by the seller. They offered to give me a full refund for the owl ball. I accepted the offer. So, I will try it again, but buy a different color owl this time. I never expected a refund since it's just a ball now, my dog still plays with it and it is holding up very well. The material it is made from is pretty sturdy.

Squeaker not working!

I'll give it 3 stars because I love the design and it's sturdy and great for dogs to hold/launch. That said, the squeaker doesn't really work... I tried everything but it just doesn't make any sound. My dog wasn't really interested but when it did make a slight sound he approached it. Once it stopped he lost interest. But he's very difficult to please😆 so if you have a normal dog, he'll probably like it! I hope the manufacturer fixes the squeaker issue because apparently many people are having the same issue, which is a shame because the product is clearly well made! I'm on the fence about returning it just because the quality it's amazing(squeaker issue aside)!
