Strange Inspiration ontstond heel intutief terwijl ik bezig was met vormen, symbolen en gezichten die bijna als tekens uit mijn hoofd naar buiten kwamen. Het figuur voelt voor mij als iemand die onderweg is tussen fantasie en werkelijkheid. De vreemde vogelvorm boven het hoofd maakt het werk bijna droomachtig, alsof gedachten letterlijk opstijgen. Soms weet ik zelf ook niet precies waar een werk vandaan komt. Strange Inspiration ontstond heel intuïtief terwijl ik bezig was met vormen, symbolen en gezichten die bijna als tekens uit mijn hoofd naar buiten kwamen. Het figuur voelt voor mij als iemand die onderweg is tussen fantasie en werkelijkheid. De vreemde vogelvorm boven het hoofd maakt het werk bijna droomachtig, alsof gedachten letterlijk opstijgen.

Ik hou ervan wanneer een schilderij niet helemaal logisch voelt maar toch direct energie heeft. De felle kleuren, dikke zwarte lijnen en simpele vormen zorgen ervoor dat het werk tegelijk kinderlijk, krachtig en een beetje mysterieus wordt. Alsof je kijkt naar een herinnering die je nét niet helemaal kunt plaatsen.

Voor mij gaat Strange Inspiration over creativiteit die onverwacht binnenkomt. Dat moment waarop een idee nergens vandaan lijkt te komen en toch direct goed voelt. Ik wilde dat spontane gevoel zichtbaar maken zonder het kapot te analyseren.

Dit werk brengt kleur, humor en een rauwe expressieve sfeer in een ruimte en werkt perfect in moderne interieurs, creatieve studio’s of kantoren waar kunst karakter mag hebben.
