Cask Strength - Cask III

Gerijpt in een first fill ex-bourbon cask en gebotteld op natuurlijke vatsterkte, levert deze peated malt uit Schotland een uitgesproken maritiem karakter: rokerig, vol en met de frisheid van zilte zeelucht. Na aankomst werd het vat verder gerijpt en met de hand gebotteld in Katwijk aan Zee – de thuisbasis van Vierboet Whisky.

Neus:
Zachte turfrook met tonen van vanille, citrus en vers aangesneden eikenhout. Een vleug zeewind en lichte honing op de achtergrond.

Smaak:
Krachtig en vol – eerst een golf van rook en kruiden, daarna romige vanille, geroosterde mout en toffee. De bourbon-invloed brengt een warme balans tussen zoet en zout.

Afdronk:
Lang, drogend en rokerig met een zilt randje en een hint van witte peper. Een whisky die nablijft als de wind na een storm.
