Penhaligon's Terrible Teddy - Eau de Parfum is een donkere, mysterieuze en minimalistische nichegeur die in 2019 werd gelanceerd door het Britse huis Penhaligon’s als onderdeel van de iconische Portraits Collection. De geur werd gecreëerd door parfumeur Quentin Bisch en stelt een aristocratisch, gevaarlijk en charismatisch personage voor dat elegantie combineert met een verborgen duistere kant. Terrible Teddy staat bekend om zijn extreem minimalistische opbouw met slechts drie hoofdnoten, waardoor elk ingrediënt maximaal wordt uitvergroot en de geur een moderne, bijna cinematografische intensiteit krijgt. 

De opening is direct rokerig en spiritueel met wierook (frankincense). Deze noot geeft een droge, harsachtige en licht kruidige rooktoon die meteen een mysterieuze en elegante sfeer creëert. Het voelt ceremonieel en donker, alsof de geur langzaam een verhaal opent in plaats van simpelweg te starten.
