Omschrijving

De Obu eetkamerstoel heeft een ogenschijnlijk simpel uiterlijk maar verrast in opvallende details en zitcomfort. Zo is de bekleding een bescheiden boucle in vier net zo bescheiden kleuren die heel goed onderling gemixt kunnen worden.

Zet ze bij elkaar en je hebt echte eye candies die een genot zijn om naar te kijken. Laat je niet van de wijs brengen door het compacte formaat, want qua zitcomfort boet de Obu helemaal niets in. De licht buigende rugleuning biedt fijne steun en de stevige vulling in de zitting motiveert een actieve zit.

De boucle stoffering heeft een samenstelling van 100% polyester en is erg weerbaar. Dit maakt het een duurzame stof die er mooi uitziet en ook nog eens zacht aanvoelt. De kleuren luisteren naar de namen Very Dromedary (beige), Icing on the Cake (off-white), Raccoon (grijs) en Blush Blush (zacht roze). De kleuren onderscheiden zich onderling met subtiele verschillen dus combineer ze gerust met elkaar! Wij zijn niet perse fan van mix & matching maar vinden het bij de Obu bijzonder charmant.

De stof maakt deel uit van een duurzaamheidsprogramma waarbij minimaal gebruik van water en energie is gehanteerd. De duurzaamheid zit tevens in de levensduur van de stof en het feit dat er geen chemicalien zijn gebruikt in het maakproces.

Het frame van de Obu bestaat uit een stuk waaraan de rugleuning vastzit en is van mat zwart gepoedercoat staal. Het frame kenmerkt zich door het rechte, ranke postuur en de platte-cilindervorm. De voeten van de stoel zijn afgewerkt met gelijkvormige nylon beschermdoppen.

Great WFH screen for video calls

I share a workspace with my hubs since we both work from home. We have four cats & I’m pretty sure someone would try to climb this, which is why they’re not allowed in our workspace.

Difficult to assemble, but a good basic divider

I bought this to use as a background for when I have video calls. I wish I'd ordered the 6- or even 8-panel to block a little more, but that's my own error. It still covers a good portion of the room, so I'll make do, or maybe buy another at a later date to expand it. It looks ok, if a little plain. The fabric panels have creases in them from being folded and will need to be steamed or ironed out for a nicer look. It would be easy to make your own panels as well, if you're so inclined. The construction is decent. The frame is lightweight and if you don't angle the base supports the right way it may tip over if you extend it too far. The fabric panels aren't the highest quality, but are sturdy enough. They seem like they would handle being thrown in the wash well. The only issue I have with it is that it was so difficult to put together. The push latches that connect the poles don't push it well and hurt my hands. The fabric panels are sized to be extremely taut, which makes it very difficult to get them on the bars without forcing the bar to bend slightly. Overall, this is a good divider if you're looking for something simple and functional without being too worried about aesthetic. It's also a good, inexpensive base if you want to make your own custom panels.
