Frieda aanvaardt de opdracht, al heeft ze aan haar opvoeding bij de nonnen een diepgewortelde aversie overgehouden voor al wat rooms is. Al snel blijkt echter dat de eerwaarde vader werd vermoord. En dat is niet alles. Frieda en haar stagiair Seppe ontdekken dat de vermoorde priester op het punt stond een sociografische studie te publiceren die de grondvesten van het priesterschap in Vlaanderen zou doen wankelen. Frieda laat haar fantasie de vrije loop en verdenkt de katholieke top van bloederige praktijken. Maar heeft ze het wel bij het rechte eind?
