The "Tact Is the Ability" Decoupage Glass Tray — a witty hostess gift, Father's Day favorite, graduation gift, office decor accent, and bar-cart conversation piece for the person who knows exactly what to say, and perhaps more importantly, what not to say.

Equal parts wit, charm, and old-world sophistication, this tray turns a clever observation into a beautifully functional object. There's a reason typography trays have become enduring favorites at Ben's Garden: customers see themselves in them. They spark conversation, provoke a grin, and feel deeply personal — the kind of piece someone buys for a friend and inevitably comes back to purchase for themselves.

Handcrafted in our New York City studio in the storied French tradition of decoupage, each bent-glass tray begins with vintage-inspired typography layered onto warm cream glass, then finished by hand. Every piece is individually signed by Ben and detailed with black felt backing and hand-applied silver edging — the quiet hallmarks of true studio craftsmanship that make a piece feel collected rather than manufactured.

Sizes and uses (case-pack optimized for low-risk merchandising):

3.5″ × 5.5″ — set of 2. Ring dish, vanity catchall, desk companion
4″ × 6″ — single. Coin tray, bedside catchall
5″ × 8″ — single. Vanity tray, jewelry display
6″ × 10″ — single. Bar-cart accent, appetizer plate
9″ × 14″ — single. Coffee-table piece, console statement
12″ × 20″ — single. Serving tray, ottoman display, wall-mounted art

Also styles beautifully as: wedding gift, anniversary gift, housewarming, library accessory, gallery-easel display, or hung with a plate hanger for wall-mounted art.

Food-safe and wipe clean. Each tray arrives with a folded card explaining the centuries-old decoupage process. Because every piece is made by hand, slight variations in placement are part of the artistry and individuality of the work.

My go-to sublimation paper for crafting
Size: 8.5"x11"
I've used several sublimation papers, and this one has worked really well for my crafting projects. The colors transfer bright and vibrant, and the images come out crisp with good detail when using the proper sublimation printer and ink. The paper feeds smoothly through my printer and feels like a good quality weight—not too thin and not overly thick. I've used it for tumblers, keychains, and other sublimation projects, and I've been happy with the results. I also appreciate getting 110 sheets in one pack because it lasts a while, especially when working on multiple projects at once. Overall, this is a reliable sublimation paper that gives consistent results and is great for crafters or small business owners.

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time
Size: 8.5"x11", Size: 8.5"x11"
This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches. I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces. If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.

Best Sublimation Paper
Size: 8.5"x11"
I’ve been using A-Sub paper for my sublimation projects, and it is easily one of the best. The ink dries almost instantly once printed, so I don’t have to worry about smudging the design or getting those annoying "pizza wheel" marks from the printer rollers. The paper itself feels substantial and doesn't tear or curl easily. One of the biggest wins for me is that it never jams; it feeds through perfectly every time, saving me the frustration of wasting expensive ink and paper. When I go to press my designs, the ink releases almost completely, leaving very little behind on the paper and putting all that color onto the project. The final results look super professional, with colors that are vibrant and sharp rather than looking faded or dull. It has worked perfectly for everything I’ve tried so far, and if you want a reliable paper that gives you consistent, high-quality results, this is definitely the one to get.
