Outre la teinture de fils végétaux, la création de dessins et l'enseignement de l'artisanat du textile,
elle travaille avec des objets d'histoire culturelle dans un musée en plein air local.
 
Sa passion pour la teinture végétale s'est réellement manifestée au musée après avoir manipulé des textiles teints avec des plantes du XIXe siècle.
Elle a toujours pensé que cela lui donnerait une compréhension plus profonde d'un métier en pouvant l'explorer à la fois théoriquement et pratiquement.
 
C'est pourquoi elle a commencé à expérimenter la teinture végétale de son propre fil il y a environ huit ans.
Elle a alors découvert rapidement que l'art de la teinture végétale offrait des milliers de possibilités - et un nouveau monde s'est ouvert à elle.
 
Aujourd'hui, son fil est teint avec des plantes, qu'elle cueille dans la nature dans la partie ouest du Jutland, au Danemark.
Elle récolte les plantes au début, au milieu et à la fin de la saison, ainsi que elle collecte suffisamment pour teindre à tout moment de l'année.
Je complète les plantes récoltées avec de la cochenille, de la garance et de l'indigo.
 
Elle mène toujours des expériences dans son atelier, ce qui la rend plus expérimenté dans les procédés des couleurs.
Une couleur peut varier beaucoup, selon le moment de la saison où elle teint avec la plante et si elle fermente la préparation de couleur.
Elle teint aussi toujours dehors à l'air frais où elle a son atelier.
Ainsi, elle a pu faire l'expérience que les résultats de la teinture à l'indigo varient par temps glacial ou plus chaud.
 
Pour Mette, il est fascinant de tirer le meilleur parti des ressources naturelles. Et c'est pourquoi elle essaie toujours de laisser la nature aussi intacte que possible lorsqu'elle récolte : elle ne prélève jamais toutes les plantes ou ne touche pas les racines, afin qu'elle puisse refleurir les années suivantes.

La laine utilisée par Mette provient d'Allemagne et est certifiée bio.
Son rapport poids métrage est de 1400m/100GR

Les pelotes vendues font 5gr pour 65-70 mètres.
Vous pourrez crocheter cette laine en 2 ou la tricoter en 2, 2.5 ou 3 (tout dépend du résultat souhaité).

Pour une écharpe tricotée, mesurant par exemple 165 x 23 cm, il faut compter 100 à 120 gr de laine.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver.
