ADDING A TAPPED HOLE FOR SENDING UNIT:
Suppose you want to add aftermarket components to your transmission, such as a temperature sensor, a magnetic drain plug, or a fluid level sensor. In that case, you must drill and tap the transmission pan to provide mounting points for these accessories. PML can drill and tap for a temperature-sending unit on the driver side of the pan. This would be a 1/8 NPT hole and would include a plug.
