Tropes include: Only one bed at the inn/bar Dissatisfaction with life before hunk appears Lost royalty The chosen one Montage of dress up time followed by shocked hunk Forbidden romance between two from rival peoples Power that cannot be controlled, simply guided/asked Gathering intel at the inn/bar FMC who knows how to fight/use weapons well There’s probably more but no need to list them all. Good story and I would recommend!

This is the first book I've read from K.C. Kean and I'm left feeling, WTF!! It was a great read and I couldn't get enough. I will be diving into the second book of this series, I can't wrap what I just finished, I need to know more!

She deals with so much push back from most because of who she is and is constantly on the defense. She is such a badass and I loved every one of her mantras to herself. As far as the romance, it's steamy, it's hot, it's a slow burn, yet it's not. Yep, that's how I'm describing it. These men are dark, humorous, and addictive. They definitely have an air of mystery surrounding them and I just want to know more!  I saw part of that cliffhanger coming but it still slapped me in the face. 😆 I live for amazing cliffhangers though and we don't have to wait long until book two because it releases June 28th!!! 🖤
