Bonsai Araucaria cunninghamii prefers bright, indirect light and can handle some gentle morning or late-afternoon sun. It won’t thrive in deep shade, but it also dislikes harsh, midday rays. A well-lit room with filtered light is ideal for maintaining its compact, symmetrical shape.
Water:
Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, allowing just the top layer to dry before watering again. This bonsai does not appreciate being bone-dry, but it also resents sitting in water. In winter or low-growth periods, reduce watering slightly while still preventing the soil from fully drying out.
