Construction utilizes a fiberglass support integrated into the carbon fiber mold to prevent cracking common in inferior designs. Transfer of the original hood’s heat shield or an aftermarket equivalent is advised to protect the carbon fiber finish. Seibon also recommends not reinstalling stock springs and using hood pins for safety.
