The Pre-Filter is engineered to protect the filter under most driving conditions. Every Pre-Filter is manufactured from a water repellent material to prevent splashes of water or mud from saturating the filter. The Pre-Filter is also your first line of defense when driving in harsh, dusty environments. The Pre-Filter traps small dirt particles, keeping much of the dirt from reaching the filter, thereby more than doubling the length of time between necessary filter cleanings. Yet extensive dyno and flow bench testing has indicated no significant loss of airflow or performance when using a Pre-Filter.
Each Takeda Pre-Filter is embossed with the Takeda logo, and Pre-Filters are available for most Takeda filters. The Pre-Filter cleans up easily with soap and water.
