Power your small business with a compact, high-performance Ethernet smart switch that blends power, speed, and intelligent management in a single, easy-to-deploy package. The Netgear 8-port Ultra60 PoE++ Multi-Gigabit (2.5G) Ethernet Smart Switch is purpose-built for growing networks, delivering robust PoE functionality across all ports, a true multi-gigabit uplink, and Layer 2+/Lite L3 features that help you keep devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and small servers running smoothly. Designed for offices, retail spaces, and workspaces that demand reliable wired connectivity without compromising on space, this switch combines enterprise-grade performance with practical usability.

  • The 8-port PoE++ capable Ethernet switch powers and connects a wide range of devices directly from the switch, including IP cameras, security cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points, eliminating the need for separate power drops and simplifying deployment in tight spaces.
  • A 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Ethernet uplink provides fast connections to servers, storage devices, and core switches, improving data transfer and reducing bottlenecks for bandwidth-intensive applications like high-definition video surveillance and large file transfers.
  • Layer 2+/Lite L3 features give you advanced traffic management without complexity, including robust VLAN support, Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP snooping, and access control lists, so your critical services stay prioritized even during peak usage.
  • Smart, secure management is built in, offering a intuitive web-based interface, simple firmware updates, PoE scheduling, port security, and compatibility with cloud management options, empowering IT teams to monitor and adjust settings with ease.
  • Compact, versatile form factor and flexible deployment options—desktop, wall-mount, or rack-mount—make it ideal for small offices and workspaces where space is at a premium, while still delivering enterprise-like resilience and performance.

How to install Netgear 8-port Ultra60 PoE++ Multi-Gigabit (2.5G) Ethernet Smart Switch

  • Plan your network layout by identifying where powered devices will be located and how the 2.5G uplink will connect to your core network or router. Place the switch in a cool, ventilated area and close to power sources.
  • Power up the switch and connect the 2.5G uplink port to your router, firewall, or core switch using a high-quality Ethernet cable to ensure optimal performance.
  • Connect PoE-enabled devices to the 8 PoE ports. For non-PoE devices, you can use any port, but take advantage of PoE power where available to simplify cabling and reduce wall outlets.
  • Access the management interface through your browser using the default IP address or setup guide provided in the user manual. Create administrator credentials, configure VLANs, QoS policies, and PoE schedules as needed.
  • Configure security features and monitoring: enable port security, set up basic ACLs as required, and establish alerts or SNMP monitoring. Save your configuration and test connectivity by streaming video, making VoIP calls, or transferring large files to verify performance.

Helpful Tool Kit for MerCruiser Maintenance
This tool kit made servicing the gimbal bearing and checking engine alignment much easier than improvising with generic tools. The machining looks solid and the tools fit properly with MerCruiser components. Helpful set for anyone doing their own marine maintenance work. Definitely useful to have around for sterndrive service jobs.

Saves So Much Time, Perfect Fit On Mercruiser Pre-Alpha Outdrive.
This is a very useful kit. Perfect fit to exchange and align the gimbal bearing on a Mercruiser MR/Pre-Alpha Outdrive. The metal rods are strong and well machined to fit the gimbal bearing and the template lines up great with the housing studs. The overall production quality is very good. Great value because the tools are very durable but for me the biggest value is the time saved. I had the bearing out in about 10 minutes. The ability to line up the bearing before attempting to attach the outdrive upper gear unit is very convenient and saves so much time. This are simple tools, very easy to use.

Works well. You need to drill a 3/8” hole
Appears to be well made, alignment bar slides in nicely. As stated, you need to drill a hole in the bar for the gimble bearing driver, the directions are not clear, what I did was before I take out the old gimble bearing, put an O ring on the bar close to the last step on the bar, slide the bar all the way in, then carefully slide the bar out, this marks the distance from the back of the gimble bearing to where the shaft on the outdrive bottoms out, move the O ring a 1/4” towards the stepped part of the alignment tool (this is so you won’t bottom out the alignment tool when driving the gimble bearing in) then slide the driver puck up to the O ring and use a 3/8” diameter transfer punch through the side hole in the puck to mark the bar. You need to drill a 3/8” diameter hole in the alignment bar, two V blocks, some clamps, and a drill press will make drilling much easier, after the bar is securely mounted and centered in the drill press, use a center drill, then 1/4” drill first, using plenty of oil, drill all the way through, then use the 3/8” drill, deburr both sides and you should be good to go. People complain that it doesn’t come pre-drilled, the reason is that not all out drives are the same so you have to fit it to the outdrive that you have. Fortunately, I have a machine shop at my house and have a jig setup with various drill bushings, but the method I described above should work for you. Just make sure you’re perfectly centered and secure before you start drilling.
