40" Vietnamese Trung Sisters Gong (#YFE261)

The Trung Sisters Gong is made in Vietnam by workers skilled in bronze. They are deep, heavy gongs that can fill a room with a thundering vibration. But their energy is not heavy. It can help you let go of the stuff that is holding you back.

The Trung Sisters reigned in Vietnam at a time when war was necessary to protect the Vietnamese culture from being subsumed by the Chinese.

Who knows if these tough sisters were reincarnated to war against the many imperialists that occupied Vietnam in the 20th Century? Perhaps if they are still on the warrior track, they are fighting in UFC? We don't know.

But we do know that all of us, as humans, brothers and sisters, need to stop warring. What inside do we seek to fulfill by destroying or dominating another? What do we gain by seeing another as an "other?" Why would God say one of his other creations, our sibling, is not as good as we are, is evil?

It may not happen tomorrow. But it will happen. Maybe it happened yesterday and you just came upon this web page.

A Story Of A Two Conflicted Powerhouse Woman!
Format: Kindle
The writing dynamic duo has once again brought us a story so big in chemistry and family. Two very different woman meet in a bar and decide to have a night they will remember. Although there is intense chemistry, one is leaving for another country and the other is replacing her ex in his powerful position. Two years later, these two woman meet again but it is where they both work and one is best friends with the others step daughter and the other is the boss. A web neither wants to cross but the hearts have other ideas. The supporting cast to these two women are just as good as the lead. But each time they get closer to a maybe, something comes between them which brings more problems. A well worth read. It has laughs, tears and family drama. Another great score for the writing duo.

The dynamic duo has done it again!
Format: Kindle
I think TB & Miranda are my favorite writing duo. I love all their books whether written independently or collaboratively. Although this is an age-gap story of two doctors, Rowan and Simone, it's a mature telling of two very independent yet professional women with a lot at stake in their careers, as well as their personal lives. In addition to the MCs, the secondary characters added extremely juicy conflict and delightful humor and levity. I especially loved Marigold and her free spirited young daughter Poppy. I wasn't sure how the ethical dilemmas would be solved, but these fabulous authors wrote a very thought-provoking and satisfying ending. Well done, you two! I wholeheartedly recommend!!!

Kittens. crazy kid, what could go wrong?
Format: Kindle
Good read. Usually I eschew romance unless it comes with a mystery or intrigue. T.B. Miranda, thank you for a very enjoyable book.

A love story with hurdles that few could overcome, but love can be forever.
Format: Kindle
Rowan, a dedicated doctor from a family in the medical profession on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, can never be as good as her father or Rowan’s husband, Lance. Erica, Lance’s daughter, Rowan’s step-daughter, her mother died when she was young. Lance, renowned surgeon, Chief Medical Officer at the Cape Cod hospital started by Rowan’s Grandmother and Rowan’s father runs, and has a gambling problem. Simone, met Erica when Simone was the RA of Erica’s college dorm, Erica’s best friend, and a new doctor who wants to be a humanitarian doctor to treat those in hard hit counties, but has personal issues she believes she is over. All these characters create a fascinating storyline. Add in a hippy philanthropist and her young daughter as well as a Cape Cod community and you have an adventure that will entice you to visit Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Nice romance, but one glaring flaw for me
Format: Kindle
This story had a nice romance, and the two main characters were likable with the exception of the one, not only never standing up for herself, but overlooking illegal acts because she’s too weak to stand up to her father. Outside of her relationship with her father and ex-husband her character was enjoyable. The book could have easily been four or five stars had it not been for one glaring flaw for me. The fact that Lance didn’t at least end up in jail for embezzlement makes my blood boil. Real life is far too full of mediocre men failing up! I don’t want to read about it in my romances novels as well. The two main male characters in this story were appalling and neither one of them ever had a single consequences for their actions! In my romance books, I want to see the “bad guys” get what’s coming to them.
