In the early 1600s, one of the many Chiazzari families of Vene, for unknown reasons, moved to Pietra Ligure, on the coast, giving rise to the branch of the Chiazzaris of Pietra Ligure. The Chiazzaris split further into several branches, that eventually all died out, except for one that emigrated to South

In the early 1600Õs, one of the many Chiazzari families of Vene, for unknown reasons, moved to Pietra Ligure, on the coast, giving rise to the branch of the Chiazzaris of Pietra Ligure. The Chiazzaris split further into several branches, that eventually all died out, except for one that emigrated to South Africa. Some of their descendants have decided to record this story.

I Chiazzari sono originari di Vene, piccola frazione del comune di Rialto, nellÕentroterra finalese. Nei primi anni del 1600 una delle numerose famiglie di Vene, per ragioni sconosciute, si trasfer“ a Pietra Ligure, sulla costa, dando origine al ramo pietrese dei Chiazzari. Dal primo Chiazzari di Pietra discesero alcuni rami: si estinsero tutti, eccetto uno di questi che continu˜ la loro ÒstoriaÓ in Sud Africa. Alcuni discendenti hanno deciso di scrivere la loro storia.
