Welsh Check CushionSally has always loved traditional welsh blankets with their beautiful colours and geometric woven patterns and this is her knitted interpretation. Using 3 colours she has come up with a design reminiscent of the classic welsh blanket. Designed and made in Sally's studio in Norfolk using 100% knitted lambswool yarn which is then felted before sewing for a more substantial, softer feel. It has a zip fastening and is stuffed with a duck feather cushion

Sally has always loved traditional welsh blankets with their beautiful colours and geometric woven patterns and this is her knitted interpretation. Using 3 colours she has come up with a design reminiscent of the classic welsh blanket.

Designed and made in Sally's studio in Norfolk using 100% knitted lambswool yarn which is then felted before sewing for a more substantial, softer feel. It has a zip fastening and is stuffed with a duck feather cushion pad.

Dimensions: 45 x 30 cm.

Care: Hand wash cover in cool water as you would a jumper, remove any marks as soon as possible with cool water.

Sally Nencini has always loved textiles, not only the design process but also making and creating. She has a long-held interest in handworked craft, surface pattern, texture and vintage textiles. She often draws visual reference from her love of vintage toys, especially the imagery and colours of early Galt and Abbatt wooden puzzles and picture card games. Using this inspiration she re-interprets designs for a contemporary audience. Originally from Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland, Sally now works from her home studio in Norwich. She is very hands-on, as well as designing and making herself, she works with a small family run knitwear factory in Scotland. This allows Sally to keep all her production in the UK, outsourcing to support the local community and making sure the quality is as good as it can be.
