BGM contains the three singles the group released so far, featuring Miyako Koda of the experimental pop band Dip In The Pool - whose On Retinae was reissued by Music From Memory to great acclaim (MFM 010EP, 2017) - on vocals and Mule Musiq staple Kuniyuki on production with direction by label head Toshiya Kawasaki. One of them, "Carnaval", is a cover of the Japanese dance classic by Taeko Ohnuki, produced by Yellow Magic Orchestra. "Shinzo No Tobira" is a remake of the track by Mariah, a band led by sax player Yasuaki Shimizu, from their album Utakata No Hibi (2015) - which was one of the reissues that sparked the global interest in obscure Japanese music in the last few years. Studio Mule's version features Japanese lyrics rewritten by Miyako Koda. "Face To Face" is a cover of the ambient pop gem from the ultra-rare album by Yumi Murata of Mariah. Also included is a rework of "Kagami No Naka No Jugatsu", a song by Tamao Koike produced by YMO, turned into a dubby Balearic pop track - dubbier than the version included on the Yen label compilation - sang by Nanako Sato, one of the artists enjoying some newfound success following a string of reissues stemming from the "city pop" revival craze. The oriental ambient pop "Yugao" by singer songwriter Mioko Yamaguchi is covered by vocalist Saho Terao, who some describe as this generation's Taeko Ohnuki. "The April Fools" is a rework of Yukihiro Takahashi's track, which itself was also a cover of the original song by Burt Bacharach. This new version boasts a more experimental arrangement with Nanako Sato handling the vocals. YMO's "Ballet", originally with vocals by Yukihiro Takahashi, was reconstructed into a dancefloor-ready instrumental by Kuniyuki. Many say Yoshiyuki Ohsawa's "Soshite Bokuwa Toho Ni Kureru" is one of the greatest songs of the '80s. The 12" dance version is reshaped here into a melancholic Balearic house track. The album cover is by the increasingly popular hotshot photographer Kota Shouji.

Good but not great.

Good but not great. We had to return. We liked it first out of box BUT as soon as the balls got damp from grass and slobber they were not launching well.

Inside winter fun ball launcher

Bought this for our three dogs to play with in the winter as Houston is typically cold and rainy and limits outside play, this will be our new winter indoor activity. We are still in the learning process of putting the ball back in the launcher, we have only played with it a handful of times at most and they retrieve the balls back to the launcher but haven’t consistently put it back IN the launcher when there is a human at the launcher to do it for them. As we play with it more I know they will catch the concept along with the balls. Love that the product has three launching distances, indoor I’m using the short distance. Having 6 balls is also great, right now they are launching and rolling under the Christmas tree and my newly tri-pod dog cannot go under to get them. The ball launcher is super easy to use, I didn’t even have to look at the instructions. The design is nice and it is built very well. This launcher was a bit pricier than others but it had the best reviews. I used Amazon coupons, rewards and a gift cards and got it for zero dollars. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and the dogs have allot of fun with it and get excited when I bring it out. I have not had any problems with this product, the only slight thing to mention is that once about every 10 or more balls the launcher throws the next ball up will just sit, a little nudge from me or a dog will get that ball launching again. I have nudgers so this isn’t going to be a thing. We love this product and give it 10 of 10 stars. Should something happen I would buy this launcher all over again. May even consider as a gift for a family member with 7 dogs.

Exceeded expectations!

This ball launcher has been the best thing we ever bought. We have a golden retriever who of course, like most goldens, is ball obsessed. I have thrown my fair share. I decided to see if my golden was smart enough to use this so we pulled the trigger. It took 3 days of on an off training and BAM! We are in business! This launcher has been a CHAMP! We've had it a month now and it has survived over and over of constant use. The balls are covered in pure slobber and nastiness but the machine keeps going. We do keep it plugged in and only use it indoors. Sometimes the ball does get stuck but it's easy to push it back through. The only complaint I have, and it's no fault to the company, but we are already on our 2nd pack of replacement balls. Honestly, it's been worth it. I probably should have purchased the bigger size but I didn't want to invest in it if he wouldn't use it. Definitely regretting it now!
