Patience Soup presents the entirety of a live performance from the trio of Oren Ambarchi, Jim O'Rourke, and Japanese underground legend Phew that took place at the Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center on November 4th, 2015. Known to many listeners outside Japan primarily for her early collaborations with members of Can, Phew has been undergoing something of a creative renaissance in the last few years, prolifically recording and releasing a body of work that strips away the band arrangements present on most of her past releases to focus solely on her raw DIY electronics and possessed vocal stylings. Forming a perfect companion to 2017's well-received Voice Hardcore, a series of pieces composed of only her processed voice that saw Phew push her work into the most abstract terrain yet, Patience Soup finds the trio inhabiting an uneasy landscape of moans, howls, and smeared electronic sonorities. Presented in atmosphere-enhancing room fidelity, the set begins in crunching textural abstraction and Phew's vocal asides, set against a backdrop of Ambarchi's shimmering Leslie-cabinet guitar tones and O'Rourke's synthetic slivers. A testament to the risk-taking prowess of these three master improvisers, the performance moves organically from ecstatic crescendos powered by Phew's processed wails to moments of near-silence in which a translucent veil of lingering electronic tones is gently punctuated by O'Rourke's chiming piano chords. Constantly shifting, both harmonically and dynamically, Patience Soup is suffused throughout with a haunted energy and shows these three established figures continuing to venture out into uncharted territory. Presented in a deluxe sleeve with stunning images by Traianos Pakioufakis and an inner sleeve with live pics from Mike Kubeck. Design by Stephen O'Malley. Mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin.

They worked out great!!!

So far have been the solution we were looking for! I was extremely tired of the non stop destruction and order of large Chuckit balls for our high energy/high drive dog. For about the same price I bought four 3 inch balls to test out their durability and fit for the thrower. THEY WORK! Perfection! They even make a fun whistling sound as they sail through the air. They do require a tad more muscle in the thrower but that is not a problem. They have already shown to be WAY more durable. The 3 inch balls work in the large chunkit thrower. Super find.

Toughest dang balls I ever played with

These things are amazing. We have a ball obsessed Husky mix and he has destroyed Kongs, Chuck Its, and a whole lot of other ball shaped objects. These things? We bought the 4 pack because we bought 4 Chuck Its and they lasted a year, all 4 of them only a year, before they were destroyed. A year after buying these? We only bought more because he lost 3 of them. I think we did find one under the dresser after buying this pack... But the others? They either ended up thrown over the fence into the woods or lost in the holes in the yard the monster digs up. Other than a few pockmarks from his teeth and maybe some mud, they may as well be brand new even after a year or two. Probably the most chew resistant thing we've ever bought him. They're really solid rubber and since he hasn't managed to bite into them to take out a chunk, they're safe as hell. Being as big as they are, I don't worry he's gonna choke unattended on them like the usual size of ball. About the only concern is forcing breaks so he can have breathing moments when he manages to talk us into fetch outside. It fits in the larger Chuck It thrower too, so we haven't lost any value from having those torn up.

Sturdy bouncy fun!

Great product. My big 70lb Sheppard puppy loves it, hasn’t stopped playing with it since it arrived. She throws it about and chases it, had a good chew on it and even put it in her favorite toys bin. Sturdy, firm and very bouncy. And there are 3 more in the bag for an awesome price. Bright color will make it easy to find and holes thru it will prevent choking and I can string it on a line for training play.

Dogs love these

Great quality balls for tough chewers. I love them, but wish the orange ones were available more...I've been checking cuz they are easier to find in the yard than the green that blends in. Our dogs love them and I like the weight for throwing.
