Introducing Flare — a brass candle holder designed to illuminate spaces with the interplay of light, shadow, and reflection. This piece is a continuation of my exploration into the effects and illusions of water, inspired by sunlight glimmering across rippling surfaces.
Originally hand-sawn to capture the intricate patterns of water, these candle holders now embrace precision laser cutting to achieve their refined forms, while preserving the organic essence of the original designs.
Crafted from 1mm-thick brass, chosen for its ability to develop a rich patina over time, a process that mirrors the transformative nature of water. As air, moisture, and touch interact with the material, the surface evolves, adding depth and individuality to each piece.
Standing 30cm tall with a 10x10cm square base. Matte finish.
