Care kit Instruction
Disassembling the trumpet
- Remove all three valves from the trumpet. Unscrew the top valve caps from the valve casing and remove the valves. Place them aside on a soft towel or cloth to keep them from possibly getting damaged.
- Remove all four tuning slides. The slides are the Main tuning slide, 1st valve slide, 2nd valve slide and 3rd valve slide. The 3rd valve slide may have a slide stop screw. If it does, remove the screw.
- Remove the bottom valve casing caps. Remove the mouthpiece from the case and put with the other parts. Place the trumpet body with the parts.
- If any of the parts cannot be removed by hand, take the trumpet to a professional repair shop
Cleaning the trumpet body
- Fill a bathtub or sink with enough lukewarm water mixed with liquid dish detergent to submerge the trumpet body, slides, mouthpiece and bottom valve casing caps. Place the body and parts in the tub and let them soak for 5-10 minutes.
- Use the flexible bore cleaning brush to clean the inside of the tuning slides, trumpet body and inside of the bottom valve caps.
- Clean the exterior of the body and parts with a washcloth and then rinse with clean lukewarm water.
- Rinse all the parts with clean lukewarm water. Lay body and parts aside to dry.
Cleaning the valve pistons, mouthpiece, slides and more
- Use the tapered mouthpiece brush to clean inside of the mouthpiece. Use the straight valve casing brush to clean the inside of the valve casing.
- Clean the pistons with a washcloth. Take care not to get the valve felts wet as this could harm them.
- Rinse the pistons with clean lukewarm water and lay aside to dry
- Never use the brushes on the exterior of the trumpet or parts as this could harm the finish of the instrument
Reassembling the trumpet
- Place a few drops of valve oil in the inner threads of the bottom valve caps and reinstall them.
- Apply slide grease to the exterior of the inner slide tubs and replace the tuning slides. Use a clean cloth to remove any excess lubricant after the slides are installed. Apply several drops of valve oil to the base of the pistons and the threads of the top valve caps.
- Reinstall the pistons. The pistons and individual valve casings are numbered. Make sure the number on the pistons are in the proper valve casing. If you want to polish the exterior of the trumpet use a lacquer or silver polishing cloth.
- Return the trumpet and mouthpiece to the instrument case.

Nice!
Scent: Amber
For the record... This is the FIRST ever I'm reviewing something on the first day! This stuff smells amazing! And all I've washed so far with it is my hands! Got it, (after an 8hr shift of work) and washed my hands with it, sitting outside 80 degrees with a breeze and I keep getting a wiff of it. Smells amazing like I'm wearing a cologne! My wife noticed and asked why I was wearing cologne. Highly recommend
