Keshan liegt an der alten Seidenstrae zwischen Isfahan und Teheran hier werden seit Jahrhunderten einige der klassischsten aller Perserteppiche geknpft. Aus Keshan, einer der ltesten Teppichstdte Persiens an der Seidenstrae der Ardebil Teppich im Victoria & Albert Museum soll hier im 16.

Dieser Keshan Teppich (auch Kashan) wurde von Hand geknüpft und zeigt in Royal-Qualität ein fein gearbeitetes Medaillon, eingebettet in ein ornamentreiches Feld. Keshan liegt an der alten Seidenstraße zwischen Isfahan und Teheran – hier werden seit Jahrhunderten einige der klassischsten aller Perserteppiche geknüpft. Aus Keshan, einer der ältesten Teppichstädte Persiens an der Seidenstraße – der Ardebil-Teppich im Victoria & Albert Museum soll hier im 16. Jahrhundert entstanden sein. Die besonders feine Knüpfung verleiht dem Flor eine bemerkenswerte Dichte und Detailtiefe. Schurwolle, von Hand gesponnen – das gibt dem Flor seine lebendige Textur und Widerstandsfähigkeit.
